Shipping Containers Repurposed Into Swimming Pools And Hot Tubs

Surprisingly enough, Canadian Modpools found a way to repurpose plain and simple cargo containers and present them to the people as Jacuzzis and pools that can be installed below or above ground.

Actually, when taken into consideration that the founders of Modpools have a vast history of modifying shipping containers for commercial purposes of the relaxing sort, this information is not that surprising anymore.

So, to get to the root of this idea, we need to know that the founders are a married couple with three kids. While vacationing and traveling around, they noticed that pools are becoming smaller and more compact in every way imaginable.

Paul, the husband, says that he got the idea for the first Modpool while vacationing in Palm Springs, California. He drew some sketches on a napkin and started building it as soon as they came back home. He explains that it took him around a year and a half to achieve the product he imagined and to patent it.

First things first, they purchase the containers from various Chinese suppliers and have to wait for them to arrive and unload the cargo they carry before the containers can be taken to their factory and begin their journey to become a pool or a hot tub. So, they are not delivered empty, instead they serve their primary purpose before being repurposed into something completely different.

In the factory, modifications begin to transform the container and make it suitable to be used as a pool. These modifications include various structural improvements so that the pool can hold almost 5.000 gallons of water and serve its purpose without failing the customer. There are also color changing LED lights added, as well as the heating system, sanitation and eight Jacuzzi jets. To make the pool even better looking, the most of one wall is being removed and replaced with a viewing window, so, practically; the inside of the pool is entirely visible.

Modpools also deliver their pools fully equipped with a heat-resistant plastic partition that separates the pool from the Jacuzzi, so that only one part can be used at a time, if needed, especially during winter months, when the pool is rarely used.

You can easily control the jets, the temperature and the lighting by an app available for phones and tablets which gives the users a user friendly experience. The pumps, emitting a strong current, can turn your pool into an endless swimming pool, where you can swim in one place. This system is also good for people with joint pain or other issues that don’t allow them to use traditional exercises in their daily routine.

The production time of a standard Modpool lasts from six to eight weeks. Then the installation depends on being below or above ground and the company works through it as well. They prepare the ground, dig a bed for the pool , at least, make sure all the connections to a gas or propane are made, so that the heater works properly and whatnot for the entire installation to be conducted the right way.

There are also various covers available, depending on the customers’ likings and the pools can be shipped worldwide. The beauty of it is that it is compact and unlike the regular pools, these can be filled up and use in just minutes after being installed.

Large Party Hot Tub Hire Now Available!

Wow! It’s crazy how far we’ve come since launching in January 2017. It;s been a huge learning curve for us all but it’s safe to say WE HAVE CRACKED IT.

We’ve focussed on perfecting our service, reducing setup and collection times, and organising the diary. Now we are in the driving seat. We are in the very lucky position to have all boxes ticked and therefore we can look at ways to expand our services into new areas…

First thing on our list, larger hot tubs for larger parties.

With the huge demand for children’s parties, it’s not unsurprising that larger tubs are required. You might be forgiven for thinking that a 6 adult hot tub may fit 8 or even 9 kids comfortably. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Kids have a habit of moving about quite a bit, so you’ll find that a 6 adult hot tub may even be suitable for only 5 kids! Crazy I know, but very true from the feedback we’ve received over the past few months.

It’s big basically, really big. You still retain the 90 air jet massage system and 40oC rapid heating system but the tub is bigger, almost twice the water volume to be exact. Big AF.

We don’t want to confuse things either with one business offering two tubs, we want to keep things simple so we have also launched a new business with the new tub. The Rubba Dub Hot Tub Hire website retains the Rally Hot Tubs booking system and packages so booking is still as easy as ever. We even have promo video!

Due to the tub size (and time it takes for the water volume to heat up!) we are offering hires for full weekends (delivered Wednesday and collected Monday, or Tuesday to Sunday if that’s better) for £160 or midweeks for £100.

What might be next for Rally Hot Tubs after Hot Tub Hire Middlesbrough you ask?

Chicago is yet to present the hottest hot tub themed bar ever, situated in the basement of a hotel. The actual name says it all, as “Bunny Slope” gives us the bubbly sensation it’s meant to incite in its patrons.

The owners wanted to bring a brand new experience to their so-called audience by presenting a new type of relaxation during the cold, dark winter season. All this is placed in a ski-lodge decorated basement bar. Why get on with the weather when you can actually turn it into a more than pleasant get together with your friends. Surrounded by a kitsch decoration all over with a cozy fireplace and wood paneled walls, snowflake tiles and snowball chandelier, vintage-skis hangers and ski lift seats all contribute to the overall image of the ski lodge interior. There is also a bar with a great mixology team and a hot tub, what more could anyone possibly want?

When you think about it, there is not a chance in the world that you are not intrigued by the name of it, first. It raises some questions that anyone would like to get answers to and to check it out on their own.

Well, actually, before you are grossed by the idea of sharing a hot tub with some strangers and people that you don’t want to share this experience with, we would like to make it easier on you and get your mind at ease by telling you how it works.

First of all, this is a private bar with the capacity to entertain 18 guests the most, so you will be sharing it with your chosen company.

A Completely New Level of Rollercoaster Fun with Japan’s Hot Tub Rollercoaster

Japan never seems to stop amazing us with their inventive streak when it comes to having fun and parties.

This time they are introducing the first ever spa-themed amusement park with hot tub rollercoaster and all the additional rides with hot tub seats included.

In case you got confused (and worried), hold on a bit. This is all still a concept, but as we all know Japan with their plans becoming a reality, this project may become as well, and much quicker than you think.

In the concept video, there are the rides with passengers wearing nothing but towels shown, so this brings us to the main question… How is all this even possible? All that water combined with all that equipment.

Despite all this, the “Spamusement”, as it is called, could actually really work because there is a clause that as soon as the video is shown a million times, its construction will begin in Beppu. If you tried to guess, or seem confused about the number, the video is played more than two million times. So, without any further ado, the construction started, as promised.

As Beppu’s major and a spokesperson for the tourist department there stated, the safety features of hot tub seats are still to be discussed, but there is no doubt in mind that the rides will be so much fun.

With Beppu already being an exclusive tourist destination for people from all around the world, this attraction will have another title connected to its name as a “spa city of the world”
